Tarsiidae
The family Tarsiidae consists of one species, Tarsiers ['tär-sE-&r], which
are found in the islands of southeastern Asia, including Borneo, Sumatra, some
East Indian islands and some Philippine islands. They have very large eyes, each
one being bigger than it's entire brain. They are nocturnal, spending this time
feeding on insects and small vertebrates which they capture by leaping on their
prey and grabbing it with their hands. During the day they sleep in dense
vegetation or a hollow tree. Although they live in the tree, they will
occassionally hop along the ground.
