Megaladapidae
The Megaladapidae family includes only one species, the Sportive Lemurs. Since
they live in the trees, their diet consits mainly of leaves, flowers, fruit, and
bark. They are nocturnal and move about the trees by vertical clinging and
leaping. Sportive Lemurs are solitary primates, but will sometimes forage in
pairs. They are very territorial. When Sportive Lemurs of the same gender feel
threatened by each other, they will engage in displays, vocalizations and
sometimes physical fighting.
