Lorisidae
Lorisidae include the Loris, which are found in Asia, and the Potto, which live
in Africa. They climb with hand-over-hand movements, never leaping between
branches. They move slowly to help esure that they are not noticed by predators,
although they are capable of moving quickly if necessary.
They are capable of clinging to a branch and remain motionless for hours
during the day. They have special blood vessel storage channels than allow them
to keep their hands and feet contracted for long periods of time. During the
night they stealthily stalk insects or forage for fruit.
